Service Day Saturday in Savage! Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE, fun experience for the whole family. Stop by City Hall to join students, community groups, and other organizations at this annual event, sponsored by the City of Savage and the Harriet Bishop Elementary Service Club . Stay for as little as 15 minutes or as long as an hour. Simple, hands on service projects and stations will be all around the city campus, including the library, Cherrywood Senior Housing, and the Fire Station. Enjoy free hot dogs and chips, helping others, fire trucks, police cars, and also a commemorative bracelet. Show your bracelet at Life Time Fitness on April 16th or 17th to use their facility for free, including the swimming pool! Bracelets can also be shown for free entrance to open play times at the Savage Sports Dome for the rest of April. Service Day Saturday is also a good time to donate items to help others. We will be collecting gently used books & toys, brown paper grocery bags, new toiletries (any size), non-perishable food items, and also spare change to help purchase goats for families in need in Kenya. Every penny makes a difference! All donations can be dropped off on the day of the event, or at the Savage Library the week leading up to Service Day Saturday.
