Human Trafficking - A Local Perspective
Human Trafficking - A Local Perspective
Is Your Child For $ale
Recently, the Twin Cities has been named one of the nation's 13th largest centers for child prostitution. Each month approximately 213 girls are sold for sex 5 times per day. At least 50% of sex trafficking victims are runaway youth, who are, on average, 13 years old. Minnesota is #1 for runaways in the nation.
Join us for this very important event and learn more about this growing reality and how ease and access to the internet has become the primary tool in the buying and selling of young girls. Topics include:
- Human Trafficking in Scott County and Minnesota
- Chief Rodney Seurer, Savage Police
- Ann Quinn, MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension
- How to Protect your Children While Using Electronic Media
- Daryn Kral, Computer Forensics Expert, Scott County Sheriff's Department
- How to Raise Happy and Healthy Adolescents
- John Crudele, Nationally known speaker and author
